Keep-your-teeth-clean monday

Chewing rolls for clean cat teeth
As you might know me does not like to chew me food and therefore me has severe problems wif tartar and gingivitis... Momma has been looking around for some stuff to chew for me but everything she brought home me either would not eat at all or again swallow in whole pieces. When she bought the kitty toys for the "thank you" presents she also saw some new chewing rolls which promised to help to keep cat teeth clean. So she tought we might try these. Well, it seems that it works. She gave them to me for about a week now (one per day) and my teeth look much better and even the gingivits is beginning to heal. Me is not sure but me finks there was some discussion about other cats not chewing and having slight problems with tartar and gingivitis so me thought it might be a good idea to share wif you. Not sure if you can get them at your country anyway but momma says it's worth a try. heheee Kashim doesn't get to eat them 'CCause momma says he doesn't need them and they are too expensive... Well, they are: One box wiif about 20 rolls costs 5-6 EUR But momma is glad that they help me and so she said it's worth it.

Ok, they might not look very yummy but they are - I promise!! I am glad a'CCause me doesn't like to get aunty-biotics for me teeth they are *YUK*!

[Büroküche] - ein Lachendes und ein Weinendes Auge...

Little Party for Mrs. Q. going on maternity leaveMrs Q. hatte am vergangenen Mittwoch ihren letzten Arbeitstag.

<center><img src= was one of the very first foodblogs ever I began to read and since then I am fond of it. I love her style to write and adore her wonderful pictures. When I found out at her blog that blog that she was releasing her first cook book I just simply had to have it. Well, after some - very long - supply difficulties with amazon I finally got my hands on this book and have to say: I am not disappointed!

Chocolate and Zucchini by Clotilde Dusoulier

A collection of 80 recipes awaits the reader. Each one with a story and most of them with some wine recommendation - and of course - with mouth-watering and yummy pictures which make you "Aaaah" and "Ooooh" troughout the whole book while reading. I especially loved the part about Clothilde herself where she tells us about her creativity and curiosity, some shopping tips for Parisians and -of course- her cooking philosophy. The book now - after reading it a second time - is scattered with little yellow bookmarklets for all those recipes I marked for "want to give it a try". Such as "Lemon Butter Cookies", "Chocolate Caramel Tarte", "Nectarine, Peach and Ginger Tarte", "Chocolate Raspberry Cake", "Chocolate & Zucchini Cake" (of course), "Chicken Cashew Quiche", "Bulgur-stuffed round Zucchini", "Mustard Chicken Stew", "Cumin Cheese Puffs", "Tuna and Green Apple Mousse", "Chestnut and Mushroom Soup", "Onion and Cumin Quiche", "Mushroom and Chantal Cheese Tartine"... to name a few... I am looking forward to give the one or the other a try! If you like Clothilde's blog you'll certainly likeher book!

Waiter There's Something In My... Sauce

hosted by Andrew at spittoonextra

buttonwaiter0607_grey_3 Andrew says:
So, stand by your saucepans... the next theme for Waiter is - Sauces! A wide open theme I hope you agree. Plenty of room for experimentation, family favourites and the tried and tested. You can use fruit. You can use meat. You can serve it over meringue or pasta or even splash it over a chunk of juicy steak. They can be tart and fruity or mellow and creamy. It can be ethnically Estonian or lip-smackingly Kiwi; 'Sauces' - versatile and delicious. What can you come up with? One thing to consider though is that we don't want 'gravy' and we certainly do not want 'marinades'! Heavens-to-Betsy no! It is sauces all the way for this months Waiter There Is Something In My... event. read more...
Here are the rules: Please send your entries on a postcard or back of a stuck-down envelope to my humble self at wine DOT scribbler AT gmail DOT com with the subject line of sauce. If you can include a 100x100 picture that would be an aid. Closing date? Lets give it until the 25th July. How does that sound?

Blogevent XXV: American Cooking Festival - Creamy Scones

Blogevent XXV: American Cooking Festival - Creamy SconesBlogevent XXV: American Cooking Festival - Creamy SconesBlogevent XXV: American Cooking Festival - Creamy SconesBlogevent XXV: American Cooking Festival - Creamy Scones
Originalrezept: Creamy Scones

1 cm :D: :D:

[Weekend Cat Blogging] - #109
When God created kitty cats, He had no recipe; He knew He wanted something sweet, As sweet as sweet could be. He started out with sugar, Adding just a trace of spice; Then stirred in drops of morning dew, To keep them fresh and nice. He thought cats should be soft to pet, Thus He gave them coats of fur; So they could show they were content, He taught them how to purr. He made for them long tails to wave, While strutting down the walk; Then trained them in meow-ology, So they could do cat-talk. He made them into acrobats, And gave them grace and poise; Their wide-eyed curiosity, He took from little boys. He put whiskers on their faces, Gave them tiny ears for caps; Then shaped their little bodies, To snugly fit on laps. He gave them eyes as big as saucers, To look into man's soul; Then set a tolerance for mankind, As their purpose and their goal. Benevolent ... and ... generous, He made so many of them; Then charged, with Fatherly Concern, The human race to love them. When one jumped up upon His lap, God gently stroked its head; The cat gave Him a kitty kiss, "What wondrous love," God said. God smiled at His accomplishment, So pleased with His creation; And said, with pride, as He sat back, "At last. . .I've reached purr-fection!" Author Unknown
Momma is suffering from the heat here - the weather makes her grumpy and she has my-grin again. This is why we will not be around very much 'till she feels better. She's been sleeping 'till now and is feeling slightly better... we' snuggle lots with her to make her feel better. It's been a busy week for her, she had to look for a new kitchen we will need at our new home in october. We fink this stresses her lots... Then it was end of the month anyway and she had lots to do. For those of you who are foodies you might like to take a look at the new round of "Garten-Koch-Event" (garden-cook-event). Momma chose raspberry for this months' theme. It's the first time she is calling for English entries and hopes you like it! We are still waiting for our secret paws... and we have sent of a thank you letter to Daisy and the prize for winning "Cute Cat Conest" to Sebastian. Have a nice weekend!
hugs'n'kisses Kashim & Othello
